Finally we have winter here! I just left to take Brianna to the bus stop and DAMN it's cold. It must be like 40.

Anyway, we had a great weekend with Joel and Luciana. Friday night we surprised them at the airport and then got them situated at their hotel. They wanted Mexican food, so we took them down to the Riverwalk and we ate at Casa Rio. The food there is kinda alright, but if you're a tourist and not used to really good Mexican food, you'd think it was excellent.

They asked a lot of questions about the wedding. They'll be down here for that because Joel is going to be a groomsman. So exciting. The next time we see them, we'll be getting married.

Saturday Joel had seminars all day and so we went down and took Luciana and Tiago on one of the river boat rides and then we sat in the courtyard at the Fairmount and talked. We went down to Madhatters for lunch and spent close to 2 1/2 hours just talking. Tiago fell asleep in my arms. God I have baby fever.

The rest of the weekend was a lot like that. Hanging out and talking. Laughing. Sharing meals. We had such a good time.

Joel brought us a 1st edition copy of Dirty Work by Larry Brown and it's signed "To Todd and Kristina. Happy Wedding! Seattle 2003" Todd was ecstatic. He's talked to me many times about Larry Brown. They also made us 9 or 10 cd's of Brazilian music. The funny thing is that we had planned to ask them to make us a few for the reception. (Luciana is Brazilian) But we hadn't asked them yet. The cd's are great. There's three Caetano Veloso cd's and they're all ones that I don't have!

Yesterday after lunching with them and seeing them off, we came home and napped and then cleaned the hell out of the apartment. It was actually fun. Todd volunteered to clean the bathroom and that made me very happy.

Now it's Monday and I don't want to go to work, dammit!
